(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc  summary/title:– Research Associate (Quantum Chemistry, One Year Term)

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Toronto invites applications for a Research Associate (Limited Term) for a one-year appointment. The anticipated start date is 22 July 2025.

 

The Aspuru-Guzik group (https://matter.toronto.edu) is one of the pioneering groups of quantum computing algorithm research. The Candidate will work with the PIs and a theoretical team of trainees to lead the design, development and analysis of novel quantum algorithms for solving complex problems in simulating quantum systems and linear algebra, focusing on practical applications. The Candidate is expected to have significant experience in conducting research or technical activities dealing with the theory of computation, classical and quantum computational complexity, and advanced quantum algorithmic techniques with demonstrated research experience in these areas.

The Department of Immunology in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, invites applications for the position of Research Associate (Limited Term) for a microbiologist and immunologist with experience in the regulation of metabolic function through microbe-host interactions. The applicant should have strong knowledge in metabolism, immunology, microbiology, enteric infections, host-microbiome interactions, physiology and immune regulation of gut barrier function. Postdoc  summary/title:–Research Associate (3 year Limited Term) Organ on a Chip Models of Vascularized Myocardium

The Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering (IBBME), University of Toronto invites applications for the position of Research Associate (Limited Term). The incumbent will be responsible for leading a research program aimed at the development of organ-on-a-chip models of coronavirus infection.

 

IBBME is a multidisciplinary research community where investigators across engineering, medicine and dentistry collaborate to develop innovative solutions that address global challenges in human health. Located in the heart of Canada’s largest health-care research network, our faculty offer quality education to students who receive training in biomedical and clinical engineering. These highly experienced faculty have been involved in launching more than 20 start-up companies and driving three major biomedical engineering commercialization ventures.

 

The Radisic laboratory is developing new technologies in the areas of organ-on-a-chip engineering, tissue engineering and biomaterials. We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated team member to help move our projects from discovery to application. You will join a lively, dynamic, creative, dedicated research focus and a friendly group of 15 graduate students and post-docs within the Radisic lab who have developed technologies such as Biowire, AngioChip, AngioTube, inVADE, Tissue Velcro, Injectable Tissue in journals such as Nature Methods, Nature Materials, Cell, PNAS etc.  You will have an opportunity to interact with all members of this creative team, helping to shape new research publications through technical help with experiments and supplies ordering. You will also have an opportunity to interact with the members of CRAFT center https://craftmicrofluidics.ca/, a collaboration between the National Research Council of Canada and the University of Toronto. You will report to the group leader, Professor Milica Radisic.
