Postdoc  summary/title:–Researcher at the Department of Biomedicine

Our research group is working on mechanisms of invasion and therapy resistance in human glioblastoma, the most frequent and most malignant primary brain tumour. Our research is based on cell culture and animal models. A special focus of the project are microtubes, which are important communication structures connecting tumour cells as well as tumour and stromal cells. Within this project, new mechanisms of microtube/nanotube formation will be investigated and the possibility of mitochondrial transfer between tumour cells as well as tumour and stromal cells through microtubes will be analysed. Postdoc  summary/title:–Research assistant – Department of Government

There is a vacancy for a student research assistant at the Centre for Research on Discretion and Paternalism (DIPA) at the Department of Government, University of Bergen, Norway. The position is 20% for a fixed-term period of 9 months. Total employment as a research assistant cannot exceed two years.

The position will provide the opportunity to gain insight into scientific work and methodology by working for an experienced PI and to be a team member in an ambitious research team of young researchers.
